1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, job title, and company details when you register an account, create a company profile, or submit a review. We also collect usage data automatically, including page views, search queries, and device/browser information, to help us operate and improve the platform.

2. How we use your information

We use collected information to operate HardwareHive, authenticate accounts, display reviews and product listings, send transactional emails (such as verification status changes or new review notifications), and improve search relevance and platform performance. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and keep you signed in. We may use additional analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings.

4. Data sharing

Reviews you submit are public and attributed to your name and job title (where provided). Vendor account details are visible on company profile pages once verified. We may share data with service providers (such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers) strictly to operate the platform, under contractual confidentiality obligations.

5. Data retention

We retain account and review data for as long as your account remains active. Admin audit logs are retained for 60 days for security purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including password hashing and access controls on administrative functions. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of HardwareHive after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
